This is another panoramic from my trip to Tibet. Yamdrok Lake is located around 100km southeast of Lhasa, and is one of the holy lakes of Tibet. The lake is huge, with a length of about 81 miles. We visited it as a detour on our way to Everest Base Camp. The road leading up to it winds upward through mountains and contains many blind hairpin turns. Evidently accidents are common. We were told after we were safely off the road that two tour buses already this year had plunged off the cliffs, killing about 24 people each time. The panoramic combines 4 (handheld) horizontal shots using my 30D and Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM.
